There are some great films out on DVD so if you haven't seen them already, now is your chance!
Vicky Christina Barcelona: One of Woody Allen's better films, this one is actually set in Barcelona to change things up a bit. The premise is simple, two American friends played by Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall are visiting Barcelona for a few months. Then mix in a confident seducer played by Javier Bardem and a fiery Penelope Cruz and you get a fantastic journey of self discovery and a look into the meaning of what defines love and passion. You also see some fantastic Barcelona scenery along the way! This film is definitely worth adding to the queue.
Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist: This story deals with high schoolers but anyone can reminisce their high school years by watching this movie. The task of trying to find the location where their favorite band is playing a secret show in New York City leads all of the characters on a crazy night. Nick and Nora, who are played by Michael Cera and Kat Dennings, are a perfect match based on their playlists but will both of their exes, the search for a very drunk best friend, and many other unplanned events let them be together? I thought this was a fun film and I could definitely relate to how a night in NYC can end up being more of an adventure than you ever planned it to be.
Zack and Miri Make A Porno: You can check out the review I wrote earlier when this film was still in theaters for all the details. Now you can rent it or own it on DVD.
Nights in Rodanthe: I haven't viewed this one yet, but if you are a romantic and enjoy watching the pairing of Richard Gere and Diane Lane this looks like a good choice. With Valentine's Day coming up this might be the perfect selection to add to your queue or to give to someone special.
